Safelight Initiative aligns with these priorities by equipping youth with industry-relevant skills through programs like On-Job Training (OJT), Alew Solutions, and the Coalition on Quality Education. We advocate for policy improvements, youth inclusion in decision-making, and partnerships with government and private sectors to create accessible opportunities for education and employment, ensuring young people actively contribute to Ethiopia’s progress.
Agenda 2063
Safelight Initiative aligns with Agenda 2063 by empowering youth in education, governance, and economic innovation. Through initiatives like OJT, LLEA, and LCC, we equip young people with future-proof skills, leadership training, and entrepreneurial support. We advocate for youth representation in AU-led programs, ensuring they play an active role in Africa’s transformation towards unity, industrialization, and self-reliance.
Brics Partnership
With Ethiopia joining BRICS+, Safelight Initiative prepares youth to engage in global economic and diplomatic opportunities. Through platforms like LCC and Debate Sphere, we educate young leaders on trade, geopolitics, and investment prospects. Programs like Alew Solutions foster entrepreneurship by connecting Ethiopian youth with BRICS-driven job markets and innovation networks, ensuring they benefit from Ethiopia’s expanding global ties.
UN SDG Goals
Safelight Initiative integrates the UN SDGs into its programs, emphasizing Quality Education (Goal 4), Decent Work & Economic Growth (Goal 8), and Gender Equality (Goal 5). Through advocacy, skill-building, and leadership training, we ensure youth are not just beneficiaries but key players in sustainable development. Our collaboration with local and international organizations helps scale our impact, fostering a generation of SDG champions in Ethiopia.
